Visited Nagpur and Chandrapur of Maharashtra as election observer for the Party. During the recent Municipal / Panchayat elections of Orissa, campaigned for the party candidates in Rayagada and Koraput districts. Attended many seminars as in-charge of Mahila Cogress at Bangalore, Jharkhand, Orissa and Delhi. Visited Kalinganagar (Orissa) during agitation against Naveen Pattnayak Govt. by local Tribals as the Party observer. Won in thumping majority in Gunupur Assembly seat – with 2nd highest margin. When in Mahila Congress, conducted agitation against custom of ‘Sati’ in from of BJP office. Sat on Hunger strike at Bangi Chhaka in Gumuda against Shri Naveen PAttnaik Govt. for reconstruction of Banssadhara River bridge-attested by police. Conducted Gherao and Band at Gunupur, Rayagada and was arrested.
