The Congress website was not created in a day. It took a tremendous effort by a large number of individuals over a long period of time. The new Congress website owes many of its elements to previous websites put up by the Congress in the past. I would like to use this opportunity to place on record my appreciation for their efforts:

Jairam Ramesh, who first mooted the idea of a Congress website and put together the first Congress site within 48 hours – a Herculean effort of drafting which only he is capable of executing.

Vivek Sharma, who headed the tech team for the first site and who, appropriately, heads the tech team for the current site.

The entire staff of the AICC Computer Department who have worked round the clock each time we have leaned upon them.

Aslam Khan, who looked after the Congress site for a number of years as a measure of his dedication to the Party.

Sam Pitroda who kept prodding us into action.

Ahmed Patel. M.P. Political Secretary to the Congress President who eased our task.

R.P.Goenka. M.P., without whose invaluable contribution this website would not have been possible.

Finally, it was our Leader, Smt. Sonia Gandhi who kept urging us to put up a completely revamped website and whose support has brought fruition to this effort.
